Westport Café & Bar definitely adds some class to the Westport bar scene.
Nathania, Patrick and I went out for drinks and dessert yesterday evening. The drinks are always delicious and the desserts are delectable, so long as you choose the right ones! We strongly suggest the croissant bread pudding with creme anglaies and the berries with whipped cream. I think the profiteroles are considered WCB’s specialty, but we’ve all had the profiteroles and agree that they’re not the best. Make sure you put your order in early for the croissant bread pudding—they go fast!
WCB’s drinks are always delicious. Last night my favorite was Nathania’s Winter Smash cocktail—Buffalo Trace Bourbon, lemon juice, spiced honey syrup, peach and cinnamon. Patrick ordered a Tank 7 and a shot of whiskey (I think). I ordered the Smashed Glass and it was a little bit too sweet for my taste.
I’ve never had dinner at WCB, but I’m sure I’ll try it soon.
Bottom Line: Great drinks, great atmosphere & best bread pudding in KC.
Recommendation: How about some live music?
Oh man, those cocktails look delish. And I think we should try making croissant bread pudding.
